a congressional resolution to honor the peace Corps

Serving in the Peace Corps in El Salvador from 1974-1977 truly was a life-changing experience. I was a member of the team that planned and launched El Salvador’s first national park and living and working among the Salvadoran people taught me to respect and learn from other cultures. Below is info on the Congressional Resolution.

U.S. Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) introduced a resolution celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Peace Corps and commending its recruits for more than six decades of public service focused on enhancing U.S. global leadership, strengthening international stability, empowering communities, and expanding people-to-people ties.
