Street Preacher Dan’s Sunday Sermon

Written by:

Listen.
Not with your ears—
with what’s left of your conscience.
The world ain’t broken by accident.
It’s broken by agreement.
By all the times we said nothing
because silence felt safer.

You don’t need more light.
You need less lying.
You already know what’s wrong—
you just keep calling it complicated.
Truth don’t shout.
It waits.
And it waits you out.

I’ve seen greed dress up like blessing
and violence call itself order.
I’ve seen faith used like a badge
and love locked out of the building.
God ain’t fooled by uniforms.

Stop calling cruelty strength.
Stop calling numbness peace.
Stop calling meanness sophistication.
These are counterfeit gospels
and they cost more than they promise.

Every lie you repeat
teaches the world how to lie better.
Every mercy you withhold
trains your heart to shrink.
